Best way to couple these together

Recently bought a geka 80 steelworker as a spares or repair project

All looks mainly intact apart from a a few little bits which I've had a price to replace

All seemed reasonably enough priced apart from the motor to pump coupling which was £430!

Basically a 28mm parallel keyway shaft on the motor which isnt a problem but.....

On the hydraulic pump side theres a tapered shaft which i can't seem to find a off the shelf fitting for

So I'm thinking 2 options of either build the shaft up to a standard size parallel then machine keyway back in

Or i can buy a blank taperlock fitting and machine the taper

Taper is approx 15mm one end 17mm other end and 21mm long with a m10 thread to hold the taper on

Not something I know about, but a bit of looking on the internet seems to show there's a DIN standard for these pump shafts, with a couple of sizes available.

Would this or similar be the thing I wonder ?

You need a UCC coupling, it can handle a tad of miss alignment.

Taper on pumps is standard … never had one with parallel shaft.

Any hydraulics place should be able to sort it. … and that price is a wee wee removal

Noone seems to have one on the shelf is the thing tho-flowfit and bearing boys can usually sort most bits for me but a negative from both of them this time

I know exactly the type. The German machines all used them. Have you got model number/serial number of the machine. My mate John may be able to help you with a manual with diagrams.

Hopefully all sorted via hydraulic megastore (and @jgr2015 thank you) but even they were scratching their heads a bit so I'm just hoping its the right one when it turns up!
