Slitting discs

Having bought a plasma cutter ( cheap cut 50 type) and not doing much welding fab for a good while now, just been grabbing a pack of slitting discs from Aldi now and then..... Going to pick back up on my transit project soon, just replaced a water damaged clarke 100e with an autostar AS160 so...

Morning all. I've just been on UK Drills web site and they sell 115mm x 1mm cutting discs at £4.78 for ten, cheaper x 100, They have their own logo printed on them so make is unsure. Has anyone tried them? Norm

Alternative to flap discs?

What is a good way of grinding down welds in a controllable manner? I find flap discs don't just attack the weld, but everything around them as well. Suddenly your work piece is dimensionally worse than when you started.

I've used lots of cheap wire wheels from eBay. They are the same as the ones I previously bought at a premium locally. Make sure you wear goggles!

I think the guy means which size angle grinder not what goes in them, that subject is vast e.g chain saw wheels the most dangerous tool for timber apart an AK 47 pointed at you. Go for a 5" they will take 4.5" wheels as well, once a 5" wheel is worn down it becomes 4.5", 6" is like rocking horse s**t.

Noop lol, I have 4.5, 5, 9 and getting a 6" flat head
