Hi, I bought a migmate turbo gas mig a few years back and never used it, I have dusted it off and got it ready, my question is whats the best setup fir welding car bodywork??, I have o.8 wire and nibs plus gas
Hi, welcome to the forum .
I'd suggest dropping down to 0.6mm wire for bpdywork, it will give you much more control and will reduce the chances of blowing holes.
What car do you intend to weld, something nice or a daily driver?

Power will depend on the metal thickness etc I use- low- min-max( 2nd lowest setting) on 2CV which can be as thin as 0,5mm see the tutorial about pulsing.
The VW van has anything from 0.8 to 2.5mm in the bodywork so you need the -low-max-( mid setting) for the 0.8 and high range for above
but just practice and practice, make sure you got shiney metal to weld to and stop to let it cool its to easy to think "whey hey cracked it with this weld ru...pop"
