We used Eclipse blades in our workshop saw, it seemed to chew through anything we threw at it.

same here on my rapidor
not fast but use cutting compound on it . it speeds it up and the blades last longer

i think the rapidor takes 14 inch blades , mine are 14 tpi or 10 tpi

Hacksaws cut slowly. That is what they do. Switch it on, go away and do something else and come back when it is done.
How are you cutting the track? The part the train wheel touches will be hard (so that is the top and the inside). The rest of the track should be OK. So cutting it in a way that avoids those parts will give the blade an easier time, with the possibility of finishing off the last bit with a grinder (or pre-cutting those bits with the grinder).
What is the stroke of the saw? If you are using the same 2" of blade all the time, of course it will blunt quick. You have paid for 14" of teeth, try to use all of them by moving the pieces back and forth (maybe with a packer between the track and the fixed jaw of the vice) and turning sideways so you are cutting a longer length of metal. Stacking two pieces of track together will also use the blade more efficiently.

Can’t remember what’s in mine but I think they’re Eclipse.
Had to do quite a lot of cuts in a length of railway track to make some book ends, timed a cut out of interest and it was around the 15minute mark.
They are slow compared ‘modern’ cutting methods.

but cheap on blades got all of mine for no more than 4 quid a blade . press on the bow when running if you want it to cut faster
