Best place to buy a long serial cable.?

I am looking to a long male to female serial cable but they seem insanely expensive.

Any suggestions...i knew i would miss maplins...

RS components, just buy the male/female plugs and some cable with the required number of cores and make your own. It’ll work out much cheaper than a ready made cable and you can make whatever length you want.

Use a couple of these, just push the pins as required then make up a standard Cat5e cable to the length required, easy to change length if required also.

Only thing to be careful of is make sure of your pinout before pushing the pins in, they are virtually impossible to get back out.
