so I have a 100amp gasless that I have converted to gas by way of a euro torch and a gas solenoid valve and a bottle of ar/co2 mix from adams gas.
this is all well and good but the duty cycle is a pain in the **** now and im looking for a bigger mig.
I also have a parweld 160 inverter MMA machine that I love to bits but it is obviously not the machine of choice for body work unless I plug a tig torch in, and then the gas goes with the wind and the welds are useless...
I quite like the look of the GYS smartMIG 162, but you will probably pick up on the downsides that I have. for use with a disposable bottle, duty cycle isn't the best and it only has 160 amps at most.
I can not afford anything like a portamig, but need a machine that will play with car panels, thicker stuff around 3-4mm and stainless wires aswell. I have no need to run 1.0mm wire, just 0.6 and 0.8mm mild steel and 0.8 stainless.
also need to know what gas is best for stainless
