best machine for cutting accurate angles

i bought one of these off ebay after my 4x6 threw the blade off and wouldn't cut straight after.

Came in ten days tracked straight through no customs 25 euros

Not dirt cheap but had good reviews in the USA

I don't think it was this seller bit it's the only one I can find

Whether you decide to go for a band saw or a chop saw, I would strongly advise you look for a swivel head machine. Not a machine with a swivel vice.

The swivel vice is very time consuming to set accurately and you will probably find your self avoiding cutting angles so as not to dusterb the vice you spent ages setting up square.

Agree 100% with this. I have a 6x4 band saw with a swivel vice and it takes ages getting it set up to cut perfectly square so I cut any angles with a thin cutting disc in the grinder. But I picked a mint 6x4 last week for £75, still with the original blade fitted and this one has a swivel head. I'll use this one for angles and leave the other one for straight cuts.

Just fyi you only pay import tax on goods purchased outside the EU.

Though it won't cut wood with drywall / plasterboard screws in it (harder than coffin nails) DAHIKT (that reminds me...need to order another multi purpose blade...)

What won't? The Rage or the 6x4?

FYI, both will, as I have both in the workshop!
