Hi all,
I have a TIG on trolley now to use for small projects and car bodywork restoration.
I am installing a 32amp supply intoml my back garage where I do most of the restoration work as hobby. I am using a 6mm2 3 core rubber cable. (Oil and weather resistant etc)
See photo attached of my garage. My work bench is to the back right corner. The lift is where I would be doing weld repairs to cars and tacking stainless exhausts.
I am thinking of fitting a socket to the right of the roller door and making up a extension lead from the same cable to reach to back left corner of garage. (So full coverage for my TIG and Plasma Cutter) also with the socket here I could reach out into my yard some with the welder and plasma weather permitting.
The lead will be 6mm2 so it may not be too flexible either!! 15mm OD. Is it better to place the socket nearer to a workbench and not plan to use a heavy extension lead all the time?
