Please can anyone suggest an ac dc mma inverter in a 110v form that will
also burn a 4 mm rod, it would also have to run from a generator, im looking
for a good quality product with good back up. ( any suggestions) money is
not an issue cheers clownfish.
Look at the Millers and Lincolns. They run on 110 and are usually also genny compatible. Both are A grade machines. Most European manufacturers don't run on 110.
Oh, BTW, do you have a 3 phase genny or are you looking at the single phase machines?
Hi there ntwoO. it would have to be 110v single phase or my other option is
mig mag 230v if it could also do dc tig that would also be an advantage
cheers for the quick reply (clownfish)
There are quite a few MIG/TIG combo's on the market. Strange specs. 110 AC/DC TIG or 230 MIG/ DC TIG. What are your plans that suit this need? MIG machines that can weld Aluminium neatly are usually not cheap.
US Plugs are 15 amps. you can get a dedicated 20A. There is a 30 amp dedicated plug used for RV's and found on very few generators. If the generator has a 30A 20V plug, you could probably get an adapter.
If you look at the specs, like the 205T, it is limited to 150A TIG at 110V and draws 34 amps. On Stick it is limited to 110A.
