Berlingo ,alarm sounds after battery disconnected

I know we have some owners on here,my nephew disconnected his neg battery lead to perform some work ,on re-connecting the alarm sounds ,he doesn't have batteries in the alarm fob or the are spent.

Van is a 98 "R"reg 1900 citroen berlingo,factory immobiliser..

Is there a quick fix without having a working fob?....

Have a read through Berlingo forum to see if anything comes up. I didn't know they did a factory alarm option my car is 2003 Mk2 and there is a procedure to follow when reconnecting the battery in the link.

Pedro,the procedure requires a button pressed on the fob......he will get some batteries tomorrow ,just wondered if there was anything he could do tonight .....I'll keep looking ,and maybe join the berlingo forum .....do they lynch vw drivers ?....

Maybe I'll wait til the batteries for the fob arrive then.....
