Hi all,
I've got a Murex 135 Mig welder that I bought 2nd hand some years ago for auto restoration.
I love the machine but as of late its been causing me some issues.
Before, I could weld thin sheet on settings 1 and 2 very smoothly and precisely, but now I need to put it on a much higher setting to get anything out of it at all.
The wire speed is always consistent, but it seems to lack power on the lower settings (resulting in a glowing wire spiraling all over the work without being hot enough to weld).
On the higher settings, I can get welding, but these vary from good to average which I presume is the machines power fluctuating.
I've looked at some of the very helpful posts about similar situations on the forum to try to resolve it myself and would certainly welcome any advice.
It has had a hard life though so would certainly welcome a full service if anyone know of a good Murex Mig repair agent in Berkshire or Surrey?
Cheers!
