bench drill 'v' belt??

bleeding bench drill belt has snapped(worn out)
the drill itself is fine.
can I hell find a belt in this size 1/4" approximately 17" long.
no one localy has it and cant find any on ebay.
I have thought about putting 2 double pulleys and a new 1/2" belt but for what it would cost I might as well buy another. yes you've guessed it a ****** make(known as TITAN)
is there any where you guy know where I can get one from?

when mine snapped i just went down to the local motor factors and they matched one up works fine,

Dare I say it... How about a Clarke Service Centre I'm pretty sure they would have them in stock. The majority of the smaller bench drills are of a generic design so the part should fit without problem.

Are there are numbers on the vee belt ? Then again maybe not if its a cheap chinese machine

Try Fenner, Brammer (BSL as was) or Erkis (Wyko as was).

tried machine mart brammer etc none have it in nor do they stock it at all. clark(mm) were not interested as it wasn't their drill.

what is the Z etc?? I know the 'A' size but thats about it.

If you still have problems try " the bearing boys co . uk " they will do their best to match a belt using a measuring device.

They sucessfully matched a very thin belt that was supposed to be no longer available for a very old German rotavator of my brothers.

I just go to my local mower/garden service place and hand them the belt. They measure it on a proper belt measurement tool they have and read off the part number and go in the back and get one from stock or they'll order one in, or they'll write the spec on a piece of paper so i can order one myself if they dont want to.

They have never ever refused to deal with me because its not one of their official brand sizes, that would be a good way to loose my custom forever...

yes and I emailed them last night but no reply as yet.
