Beginner looking for a TIG

My son is eyeing this off - starting with the Stick and adding TIG later - any comments

Looks quite good to me, but that's based on what they say in the advert!
Are they a familiar make down-under? Must admit I've never heard of them. But they seem to carry a warranty.
Decent amp range, generator friendly, it's an inverter so weighs almost nothing, making it very portable - it even has a case!
I'm half expecting people to show up now, with warnings about the reliability of inverters, but I've used one for quite a while (couple of years, I think!) with no problems so far.
Just looked it up & it works out to just under £140, which seems quite reasonable, also a couple of his other buyers seem to like it well enough.
I'm assuming when used in TIG mode it'll be a "drag-start" affair. I've been spoiled with HF start, so I've never tried that method. Know a couple of people who it works fine for, though.
I'd probably get it, but then, I do make mistakes!

That was a bit gobby, now - wasn't it? I didn't even ask what you intended to use it for! Just saw fit to recommend it after a few sentences!
Lots of folk seem to be looking to do car bodywork & the like, but using it as a stick welder probably wouldn't be many peoples first choice for that kind of use.
I'd find tig welding under a car nigh-on impossible too, though. I've not ever tried to, even on an optimistic day! Having said that I'm also aware that some people can.
For most mortals, however, mig would be easier for bodywork.
Maybe a good time to ask, what do you want to do with it?
And don't just say "welding"!

By UK standards purely as an inverter for stick, that looks like a hell of a lot of machine for the money. Especially as the delivery is free.

It depends what else you can get in Oz for that much and what the reputation of the Ross (Rossi?) name is down there, and whether you believe the seller is good for the 1 year warranty.
