Beaver vbrp mill

Hi all

Going to look at a beaver vbrp mill Monday. Bit of a bigger mill than I’d planned to get but I’ve got the space and 3 phase to run it its really local and cheap hopefully! as well but will need a hiab to move it anyway.

It looks in good condition just filthy doesn’t look like it’s been used much.

I don’t plan to use it loads mostly for the odd repair and some jig/fixture and small toolmaking.

Will be my first mill what should I look out for on it before I purchase? I don’t think there is much tooling with it only a vice on the table.

Good machines, well made, fairly strong. Some have a 30INT spindle. Bit rarer the tooling but usually fairly priced.

Thanks everyone. Went and had a look at it this morning bit bigger than I was expecting but I’m sure I’ll make space for it.

Everything seemed ok on it still had some machining marks visible on the ways, quill had no movement. From my untrained eye I think it is 30int spindle.

Think it just needs some fresh oil and a good cleanup.

It’s starting at £500 so hopefully it goes for around that figure.

Managed to win the mill for £500! which was the opening bid. Just got to get it moved and make some space for it.
