I'm replacing the shaft bearing in my angle grinder and have been pleasantly surprised at how easy it's been to dismantle and remove the old bearing, given that it was a relatively cheap online buy.

The old bearing is marked 6000Z with the name DUF stamped on it and I thought that "someone in China has a sense of humour". But, it appears not.........who'd have guessed

Anyway, my question is, is there another type of bearing e.g. rubber shielded, which would perform better in this application e.g. this from NSK

I don't mind paying a few quid more if it'll last well [and save me doing it again any time soon. Grinder is one of three so isn't hammered to death.

The issue might be heat but most likely no issue. Go for it, should keep out the muck.

You may find the 60002RS will add a little friction and slow the grinder slightly, I replaced all the bearings in my Cheapnese mill with SKF 2RS bearings and I cannot get the higher speeds from cold due to the added friction from the seals. Shows how marginal the motors and controllers are!

Yes as the metal shield does not touch the inner race and the rubber seals do. The rpm will likely turn the rubber seal into a metal shield in no time anyway! A good quality SKF or FAG bearing will be an improvement over the original and decent grease for the gear, just don't put too much in as they don't need much.
