BBQ maker?

@Documentally on twitter looking for some wall mounted folding BBQ's making.

They are looking for something like this but with a price lower than £1172...

I think the main problem in trying to replicate that would be to get the pan to the bowl shape.

That's a cool idea..although hopefully double skinned so it wont have the heat affect the outside bottom bowl and ruining the look !

You could cut the top or bottom off a propane /butane cylinder ........using the safety advice given in the woodburner threads of course....

I cut the top off a bottle ,used the base as a garden incinerator,thought of putting legs on the top and using as a small firepit ......a few holes in the base and the incinerator works really well too .....gas bottles are great .......I have made 2 types of woodburner,a garden incinerator,and a bbq out of scrap bottles

In the closed position, it reminds me of those gun ports in the van in Dad's Army.

i have a heap of old bottles laying around on the farm I'm on so its time to get chopping i even have a wall at the end of the garden to bolt it to

That looks good...if it had a light incorporated into the backplate, and the dome stood off a bit when closed it would be a fancy wall light.

For a decent sized one why not cut the cylinder north to south and double up the back plate giving an air gap of 40 mm or so between the two plates as well as using 30 mm standoffs in the mounting.

The valve end is already cut for a spit spigot so you'd only need to adjust the bottom bit to take a motorized spit .

if anybpdy does get involved make sure ou get paid up front.

An interesting looking device, but I bet they dont get used often, all the cleaning and messing around after using it.

How come everyone except me seems to find junk gas bottles, huh?
There was a time when I'd see a fair few dumped in the usual local fly-tipping spots, but now... nothing, nada, flippin' nowt.
Even the local tip won't let me have one, not even for a few beer tokens. "More than me jobs worth, mate".

Try scrap yards ,its a hassle to get the individual companies to pick up ,they are often glad to get rid for nothing

I expect it's one of those, seems good but I'm not paying that much for it kind of ideas. Likely nothing will come of it.
