Battery terminal corrosion

Why do certain vehicles do this and others don't?.Here's a battery link lead off a mccormick tractor and it's just over a year old. And no matter what i use to prevent corrosion they only last about a year. I look after 3 of the same tractor and they all do it. I've tried sprays. Petroleum jelly. Normal grease and left them dry all with the result.

Could be the battery gassing caused by the tractor over charging, just thoughts.

Definitely the above an option. I've also had a battery that would always overcharge, that made a right mess of everything.

Yes it's worth a look but it would be a bit of a coincidence of three tractors all over charging but stranger things have happened.

Could it be anything other than battery gassing? Is this a farm tractor, does it get exposed to any other chemicals like ammonium nitrate or even... animal waste products ?

We had everything wiring wise corrode out on anything JCB on plant, was due to using potash and salt on the furnaces, if they've been used for spreading it's probably that

They do get used for muck carting but it's occasionally. One is mostly on a grass cutter.

I used this stuff for all agricultural electrical connections, especially in dis boards that are in high heat and/or humidity areas. It does a good job!
I used it on my van electrical connections too, most of the exposed ones see a lot of grime and animal p 155 and they are still shiny once unplugged.
Don't know how well it would work in your case as that looks very exposed. It may work if applied and then covered, perhaps with heat shrink or terminal protectors.
