Battery dewalt

Saw one of these in the flesh today.. runs off 4 of the big 54?volt batteries
Sounded and looked a nice weld. No idea what the specs are. But perfect for what we needed

We have seen them. Not sure how long the battery will last though. It's going to be a fast discharge that's for sure

ive killed a few XR batteries just form using them in a grinder with a wire brush...they just drain to the point of no return after a few quick cycles...brilliant in the drill and impact mind you, but gotta be careful with the grinders...ive moved to clones now, they seem to have a bit more poke...interesting to see how long that welder would last on a charge though

We only needed about 1inch of weld on a bit of stainless pipe, but was done much faster than sorting an extension lead

I think a flux core welder would be better for a battery portable
machine.

I’ve killed a couple with my grinder, I would be interested to know which clones you use.
you see such mixed reviews I’ve always been wary of buying any but a real experience recommendation would be helpful
