I have recently got a Makita 12v one and honestly think it's great. once you realise you dont use the battery aspect of it for loosening/tightening and just the running of the bolt/nut on/off then they are a great bit of kit. Only complaint really is the direction change is a little fiddly.
Ahh! Missed the request for 1/4'' recommendations.
Would an impact driver with an adaptor work or failing that a 3/8'' to 1/4'' adaptor on the Makita/fakita wrench?
I have a proper 1/2'' 18v Makita impact gun too which is equally good but a little less forgiving than the proper wrenches

The genuine Makita one is a pass through design, effectively a 13mm A/F 12 point ring spanner. It has 1/4" and 3/8" square inserts.
None of the 'for Makita' clones have that feature and all are 3/8" drive.
Amazon shows a Ryobi one (RR14W4-120G) and an AC Delco one (ARW1207T).
At that size, maybe a 1/4" hex right angle impact wrench could work (e.g. Milwaukee M12BRAID-0). There is also a Parkside one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/356513636599)

Now you've said that its reminded me that I have got a spare part for it I put aside in a drawer!! lol. I didnt really think about it as I dont tend to use 1/4'' drive for much stuff at home
