Having issues with the alloy wheels on my car, the face of the wheel is fine but the inner part all the paint has peeled off. Removed the tyre and its the same story around the inner bead. This is only on the back and has no brake dust on there as it has drums on the back. I only use the car to go to work and back so don't want to spend £ for them to be refurbed. Not bothered about the finish as long as its painted and the bear alloy is no longer corroding. No nothing about paint but think I needs etch primer first? What about a top coat? Don't mind brushing paint on as I leaves for less masking. Can I go over with hammerite or might I crack around the tyres bead?
