Hi all new guy here,
Am part way through welding up my self designed chassis, so not new to design and fabricating, but that's a whole different story
However, have been considering knocking up a small utility trailer for taking mountain bikes on trips.
Would be mild steel box, plywood, and aluminium construction, with a pretty light payload (say 6x15kg?) although would be nice to be able to use it for other jobs too.
My main question is, should I look at adding suspension, or not bother and keep it super simple?
Have towed a twin-rigid-axle trailer, and also it's a full car's width with car wheels, which should help with the stability, but don't want it bouncing around!!
Anyway here's my first off design
The upright box section in the corners would be to allow side panels to be mounted on.
angle section is rough idea for mounting the tyres.
Appreciate the feedback, and look forward to having something to show!
