A few years ago I read an article about one of the truck manufactures trialling a system where the engine was constantly drip fed/metered new oil ,at the same rate old oil was removed/introduced into the combustion process negating oil changes. Not sure if this ever made it into production

They might be able to build it but not sure if it would ever get through an emissions test?
Unless VW test it..
Mate of mine has a car that uses so much oil it gets what he calls a "rolling oil change"
About a liter for every 5k miles so it never gets changed, just swaps the filter every now and again.
