was looking for a vertical compressor, small one to run blow guns in the machine shop... A quick eBay turns up this nice unit not a million miles away... Apparently a faulty pressure switch. Make an offer, offer accepted.
50 quid later, we have this beauty.

That's after I removed the abortion of a single phase motor that was bodged on and fitted something I found in the shed. Turns out the pressure switch was fine, someone had removed the heads and then fitted the valve plates on the wrong way round so it never pumped. Some wellseal and 15 mins fixing that and it was good to go.
Turns out I didn't read the motor plate fully when I dug it out, the damn motor is 8 pole! Good job I'm going to put a vfd on it, 120hz should get it pumping nicely.
