Bank holiday weekend.....

Just a quick question, is Monday an official Bank holiday in England & Wales? Calendar doesn't show it as such, but I seem to recall that this is regarded as THE big one?

I know in Scotland we have one at the end of the month.

Last Monday was the Bank Holiday and it was moved to today (Friday) for VE day. Next Monday is just Monday, I hope.

Should have been the 4th, first Monday after May the first as per above ^^^^^^

The Scottish government also moved it from Monday to Friday, though left local authorities to decide whether to take it or not, so a mixture across Scotland. My authority decided not to change from the 4th, so were working today.
