Bandsaw blade pitch

Bit of advice needed. Theres plenty of advice on here about blade types. I have been reading threads on types of blade and have established I need bimetal m42.
If I am to use vari pitch which one do I need I will mainly be cutting box sections from 25mm x 1.5mm wall to 50mm x 3mm wall... I know that general rule is 3 blades in contact with work piece but vari pitch blades dont seem available in finer pitches..

I don't think theres enough variation in what you are cutting to warrant a varipitch blade really.

They come into play when there's a lot of variety in what you are cutting.

Seconded plus bimetal last a lot longer on thicker stuff.

1.5mm thick, even a 32TPI is only 0.79mm pitch min two teeth on at any one time.

Maybe I should forget about vari pich. There are 18tpi bimetal m42 blades available on ebay for less than £12 posted...will these be more suitable?

The problem you will be faced with is the blade will need to be a varipitch as the material top and bottom of the cut will be like cutting solid, and the side walls will need a much finer tooth than the top and bottom.

I would start off with some thing like a 5/8VP or a 6/10VP.
bimetal M42 is the backing strip with welded tips.

Most people purchase 4/6VP blades for general purpose and alter the feeds to suit.
