band saw stand

got a portable band saw so made a quick stand for it.
got to remake the clamps and make a better bed for it
thats a job for friday.

It looks like the one on Welding tips and tricks site. He fits a bigger work rest on the one he does, handy adaptation.

I also saw a web page which describes losing the 45 degree angle of the blade to double the throat depth of the saw, which looked like a handy modification. I'm saving up for a halfway decent band saw.

yes i have looked at doing that all though not seen it any where on the web.
very happy with it so far was only £50.
more to be done to it in the morning bigger table (work rest)

did yours run smooth out of the box?
Mine arrived a couple of weeks ago,but theres a slight drag on the blade once every revolution.
Didnt investigate yet,did make the obligatory stand of course,and a bigger table out of 1/4" aluminium.

yep runs good straight out of the box.
check the weld on the blade had that on some big saws where the weld is not been ground down enough
