What make and model of bandsaw? Has he checked spares availability?
That looks not too difficult to re-make with simple tools. Buy a piece of aluminium of the correct thickness. Square up with a file - off the supplier's saw it should not be too bad. Drill cross hole (that eventually becomes square)*. Drill and tap the holes at 90 degrees to that hole. Chain drill at top of 'legs' (where it has broken). Mark out the perimeter and hacksaw away the surplus. File to finish. The only crucial bits look to be the slot at the top and the square hole.
* drill the four corners first with as small a drill as practical before removing bulk from middle.
