Band Saw help

Many years ago I got this band saw, never used it but found it again at the back of the shed and what look like plastic tyres on the wheels have disintegrated. I assume these need to be replaced?
Possibly cheaper to buy another band saw?

whats stopping you using plastic strip of suitable size and glue it on

Just had google and the tyres to fit and blades are available on Aliexpress two new tyres under £5 delivered

stick them in boiling water first.

before u buy there are two sorts.....
the blue ones will last forever.....cant remember or the name of material....

Just fitting a new set of Tyres and blade and discovered the main drive belt is shredded, does any one know a Belt part number so I can order one?
I really need a Belt makers size so I can just buy one locally
Should have checked before I ordered the other bits from Aliexpress

What type of belt is it?
You'll most likely have to measure, then take an educated guess, but it might take a few attempts.

Like a small car timing belt

Just bought one from Solent tools £10 delivered one place was cheaper but is closed for holidays so won't ship until after 7th?

I changed one of the tyres on one of our little bandsaws recently. It was an Axminster and the tyre size was 200mm or 8 inches. Putting it in hot water first to make it stretch over the wheel easier was recommended and worked really well.

I must admit I think my wheels are 9" when I opened the packet I thought no way would they fit but as you say I soaked in hot water for a few minutes and they went on, they fit very well considering they where £4 delivered from Aliexpress, I don't use it very often but lets see how they compare to the UK supplied at £20!

I paid 10 quid from a uk supplier because I needed the bandsaw back in action for an A Level practical exam. I probably should have changed both tyres at the same time , but just needed a quick cheap fix.

I have started buying a lot of the stuff I need from Ali express as its so much cheaper but it can take 5-14 days to arrive and most of it is the same as I would by locally or from Ebay. Just bought a complete headlight shell for a Motor bike I am restoring as they whole shell including lamp and chrome ring was cheaper than just buying the chrome ring here, when it arrived its stamped Honda with all the correct markings!

I think @julianf bought 2 sets of tires from US a few years a go. One set for me they have been good

It is much cheaper for most things. Not had any quality issues with either them or Temu either so far, touch wood. The likes of Amazon still come in handy, such as for speed of delivery on some things, though.
