Band saw accuracy

I know I have posted before on this subject but I have fine tuned my Startrite 24 - T -10 vertical bandsaw.

It has to be my favourite machine out of all the tools I own.

Pretty accurate for a saw! My vernier showed no difference at all.

That is measuring one end then the other of a 6 or 8" strip I cut.

wait till the blade dull's down a bit......I alow anything cut on the vert/bandsaw to be remachined for accuracy.....
horizontals seem to fare better tho......

Yes it is a new blade. But the accuracy is better than many mills and lathes!
I am still astonished by it

You really can't make that comparison because of the finish. Proper saws set up properly will cut very accurately, again the finish is not to be compared. I think from pics i recall seeing, your startrite has solid guides and not roller? Solid guides are far superior to roller guides in accuracy terms.

Yes solid guides.
At first I thought they were old fashioned and rubbish.
Now I know different!
