Yeah, in the clip he said he had the mark 6 ball joints sent by mistake which are bolt on, his mark 7 is push fit.
Mines a mark 6 so bolt on, a bit easier. Cheers
thought the m6 was 2008-19Is a 2010 Fiesta not a mk7? Think they ran from 2008 - a couple of years ago
According to wiki, but ask Google and 6 is from 2 to 8..thought the m6 was 2008-19
Cheers, had a quick feel underneath in the slush think it's pressed in, will be attempting it mesself with the arms off German ebay hopefully.I’ve just looked on the Fiesta forum, 08-17 mk7
This is true, apart from bits for my t4 from TPS.In the past I’ve found genuine Ford parts are sometimes only slightly more expensive than aftermarket parts, might be worth checking first.
there a press fit in and face up over so can hardly have any run out ,still everyone to there own if you feel it should be done the only time id get it done is if i was changing one and my tires were wearing to one side before i changed it and id run over a few curbs and may have bent one modern ones wont take the stress of it like the old onesYou're right it shouldn't. But it very likely will!
Like you said, each to their own!there a press fit in and face up over so can hardly have any run out ,still everyone to there own if you feel it should be done the only time id get it done is if i was changing one and my tires were wearing to one side before i changed it and id run over a few curbs and may have bent one modern ones wont take the stress of it like the old ones
Decent brand arms are about £80 each.
The ball joints are about £20 each.
If paying a garage to do it then have the arms done.
If doing it yourself changing the arms is only going to add 10mins onto the job at most so depends what you value your time at.
Also depends how convenient and costly having the tracking done is..
It's only an advisory for split rubbers, just split the joint and fit new rubber boots for under £10.
well you can buy steering rack boots that you superglue togetherOr slice the new ones and superglue them back together once on....
