Ballpark quote on making a banjo bolt

I made some banjo bolts and banjo fittings a couple of years back. Slightly bigger than you need..M38x2 if I remember correctly. 316 stainless steel and cost considerably more than £60 ! Was a fun project. Landed up making double ended banjo fittings too...

Couldn't the threaded hole be retapped so a more common banjo will fit ?

Might be worth just buying one to see if it will work before the time and effort making one.

I'm going to tell him to do that like you say, could be a lot of effort to make something the same (produced around 1980) when it does not need to be..

As the original has got that lovely big shoulder on it I’d say the easiest way to do it would be to turn down a m12 cap head to the thread pitch, length etc you state above. At least that way the whole thing baring the hole at the side can be made from one position in the chuck. If that shoulder size is fine then a m12 cap head size will be if that makes sense.
If that’s acceptable then I could make them very quickly.

Yeah it’s definitely worth checking to see if an “off the peg” product works first. If not then the way I suggest would probably get you what you want dimensionally without too much hassle of turning the whole thing from stock bar.
