Bag of bits

Hi all,

I'm having a bit of a tidy up and came across these in a bag:

Obviously an accessories kit for something but for the life of me, I can't remember what. Anyone recognise it?

Pretty sure you are right, I was after another hold down clamp for my lumberjack as they only supply one.

Aaaaah! Hang on, is a mitre saw the same as a chop saw?

Cos I've got one of them for wood bothering (which is why I don't really know much about it).

Let me dig it out and have a look.

Well I'll be! It looks like they are for my little chop saw! What I don't get though is what that bit at the top of the picture does. It loos like it screws into the back of the base but no idea why

Does your chop saw tilt from side to side??

Edit: Yep, looks like it does!

There's a big green knob at the back that looks like it will let it do just that.

Then its a mitre saw, but I think everyone, except the pedantic, refers to them as chop saws, regardless of their tilt/mitre capability.

All the cheaper ones made in the far east come with a set of brushes.

No it doesn't but it did successfully put square cuts on all the 4 x 2 I used in my new shed

Thats a good and better than an evolution then, can't seem to get the fence square to the blade somehow

I have the orange sliding mitre saw. The fence should be one piece with a low loop in the middle to give the blade room. Seems to be off straight each side of the middle.
