Bad welds from not enough Argon

I had sent four stainless steel beer kegs to a shop to have some tri clove fittings welded on. The welder didn't use enough argon inside the barrel which caused some sugaring. From what I know about stainless I feel I just lost $600. My question is if I sandblast or find a way to clean up the inside of the barrel, which is almost impossible with 4-in opening. But if I could find a way to be bead or sandblast it, passivate the metal ,put some silver solder over that to protect it from oxygen and carbon dioxide passivate that again would that be worth my time.

I've had some good results removing sugaring using a Ultrasonic cleaner, mind you you'd need a rather large one to fit a beer keg in.

it would sand or polish off , but getting in may take a fair bit of improvisation ,,, seems like a strange project to be undertaking . But welcome to the forum .
What do you intend to use the barrels for , why the change of fitting instead of just getting an adaptor ?

Fill it with blasting media and run it like a rock tumbler?

An adapter probably would have been an easier solution to bebhineat, but its done now...

A bit of sandpaper on a suitable stick may be an option

I wonder if you could modify a cylinder bore hone to work ,, bit of imagination and I think it would be a mighty start even sprung loaded and collapsible

Could you cut them off and get it redone, even if it means cutting a bigger hole out,
What are the implications of leaving it? I have seen old stainless steel pipework in a distillery all oxidised and it never gave any issues through its life, and it was terrible internally.
