Backwards bandsaw blade

So I came to use my Parkside PMBA 20 LI bandsaw in anger today - waited about a year for them to pop up in the middle of Diddle - and, wouldn't you know it, the blade snapped. No probs, thinks I, I have four new blades for it. So I dig them out and try to fit a 14tpi one but it's a) too short and b) the teeth are backwards for the direction the blade spins. They are pukka Parkside blades bought at the same time I bought the saw. The 24tpi blades fit but also seem to be made for a saw that runs in the opposite direction. Am I going nuts or can Diddle really have sold the wrong blades for the saw?

Turn it inside out.

Can you turn the blade ‘inside out’ to get the teeth on the right side.
Wear gloves.

Ah, thanks guys, didn't think of that. Should be able to fit the 24tpi blades. The 14tpi are too small (and one has a cr4p weld to boot).

Affix the saw to the ceiling....all will be well....

Seriously, simply grab ahold of it and flip it inside out.

Flipped it and it worked! Can't fit the 14tpi though and cutting through 5mm angle with the 24tpi is a fool's errand.

On my first bandsaw I always had to turn the blades inside out. Then I discovered the previous owner had been messing about with the motor wiring and the saw was running backwards!
So check your saw is cutting toward the fixed jaw.

Unless it's a Femi NG model. Those are supposed to cut in the other direction.

It seems to be cutting in the direction indicated by the arrows on the wheels. I just needed to flip the blade.
