Right seems we are overdue a thread on this. Share your woes, tools and techniques for lifting or dealing with your back issues.
I do *not* have back problems myself and dont intend to either.
However I suggest for those with problems, hanging is good. I do a lot of climbing, that too is very good. Keep your core muscles strong and rely less on the back.
However tree work wearing spikes, is awful, often get aches after that.
