Cup type nicer to use - I got one of the floor standing clamp type ones and it not nice to use - spring always at a "risky angle".

I prefer the sykes type threaded cup ones I have. But there is a certain type of spring (Merc and VW T5/T6 van that won't go into a cup nicely)

I bought this last month, bit of a false start when it arrived as the ram had air in it but with some advice from here I got it bled and got a couple of springs changed so at £106 it’s pretty much paid for itself already, it’ll get a fair bit more use over the coming years I’m sure.

I like the look of that, it’s not eating up too much space. I have a pneumatic one festering somewhere but it’s way too big to have in the workshop for the once in a blue moon I need it.

Yes it is Vevor, cheap and Chinese, hopefully the seals will last as it’s tough and solid, otherwise, there is also a larger set of cups supplied for larger springs.
