Just a heads up for the Scottish guys near perth, The regular auction at iain m smiths auctioneers Scone aerodrome is on the friday and this weeks has an abundance of mtools including Boxford AUD lathe small mill bandsaws drill press socket sets etc,

Looks like there could be a few bargains to be had; just spent a few moments perusing and I reckon a few things have been incorrectly labelled - horrendously so!

They know about antiques not about machine tools.
There are usually a few Old boys hanging around pushing the price of tools up. I think they get them relatively cheap and then take them to the car boot sale at Errol. I suppose it helps top up their pension.

Haven’t been to an auction for a couple of years. Spent too much money, and came back with an 18C cavalry sword.

I may have worked out why I haven’t been to one since.

The Boxford went for a song £220, the mill was £170 plus the 20% buyers premium and the VAT on that.

I nearly bought it. i did get a router, some levels and a box full of industrial castors for about £50 all in
