I saw a very good example of failing in a duty of care…..barn roof corrugated sheet, old 1/2 definatley Asbestos containing, it had been tested by the removal people other half potentially but untested. It was all going in the two dedicated skips by the removal guys all in PPE etc.Not only that, it’s knowing when and where to take a sample and then how many
There are procedures for not only taking a sample safely but knowing where and how many samples
Good labs are UKAS accredited to ISO 17025
This sending PPE in the post to allow you to take your own sample is **Language**ing BS.
Firstly you won’t be fave fit tested, then you wo t be trained in its use
Bloody boils my **** with these internet sharksters conning the innocent
But Sadie the Bat Lady had to be there….shes up under the roof on ladders, unfooted and unsecured looking in crevices etc, Guys in the PPE waiting for her to finish. They started and she kept looking back inside…..
When I told Sadie to keep out of the way for her own good. We were chatting, she had had no working at height training of any sort, knew nothing of securing ladders etc, and had been provided no PPE by her employer, yet a large portion of her work is in old barns under potentially asbestos roofing.
Her names Jessica really, but now knows different. I was only there as its My son in laws family farm, and they were all away at a funeral, so me and the Mrs were in charge of the little un.
