Art Exhibition Coventry

Hi Guys
An invite to an art exhibition at huge garden centre near Coventry, starts this Saturday and continues all through June. I have 10 pieces of work and there are about 50 artists with similar numbers of pieces.

I went on Tuesday to install my stuff not expecting too much, after looking at the website and was blown away by both the gardens and the sculpture. Rare for me to admit to liking other peoples work, and even was inspired by some of it. Maybe a few pieces did need to be put in the pond, but that is easy to arrange. I reckon it would be easy to spend most opf a day there, luckily there is a pub a few yards up the road. The gardens are the focus but there is also a load of silly plants for sale as well.


See you Saturday? I will be there with my Ma and Pa, a dangerous thing taking the crumblies to a show, but they have helped me along the way.

I went again yesterday and had more of a look round.
More relaxed but still stresful with the old folks, still I managed not to push Mum in the pond.

Some interesting stuff.
The large head was inspired by the Battle of The Somme, stuffed with thousands of tiny soldiers, one for each death on the first day. I liked this one

The plasma cut screen was nice, hand cut or CNC'd?

Worth taking wifey out for a day, just done let her near the silly plant sales.

Having taken nearly three weeks of welding and grinding to nearly make two washing line poles I hate to think how long it would take me to do the seahorse , it must have taken decades of work .

I was joking, the seahorse is one of mine, about 3 weeks of snarling and spitting, but well worth it.
it is just at theslightly sad looking stage as the rust settles into a uniform finish, a quicl run over by hand with a wore brush would sort it out a treat, but we did not have time.
