Had this photo sent me...someone I know found a spool....The original Arjon 10 was made by Johnson & Nephew in Ambergate, Derbyshire. When Lincoln decided to make MIG wire in the UK they bought all the equipment from the (by then) disused factory. It was sent somewhere to be renovated (read painted) and we got it and a factory to put it in. We know absolutely nothing about making MIG wire but we had to learn quickly...This Arjon 10 once had big sales but they had dropped off....Lincoln listened to an "expert" who told them it was good stuff but too expensive.....we soon disproved that...it was awful...the process left loads of drawing compound on the surface....We made 200 tonnes (which was quite an achievement) but it all came back.......and from that start we ended up with Supramig....at least the Arjon 10 gave us a standard that we knew we needed to improve on.....This spool (found in a cupboard) has to be 25 years old....its tempting to try it but Ive retired so I should remove such thoughts from my mind.
