If you look north of you, you will get BOC on Walton Le Dale, Preston (A6 to Chorley from Preston or straight off the M6 Northbound from you) for Argoshield.
Hutton or thereabout has an Air Products base (I think its just off the A59). If you are a DIY welder, you probably make only a trip every 6 months, so distance is probably not object, service would be,
