Argon regulator

Hello all.

I'm in the process of setting up my Clarke 135te machine to use a pub bottle that i'll hopefully be picking up soon courtesy of Badbusboy.

I have got hold of a regulator from one of my mates (It fell into his work bag).

He has told me that it's only a couple of years old.

It is an Argon reg so will i be able to fit an adaptor so that i can use a Pub bottle?

If i can use an adaptor where can i get one from?

I believe that adaptors to do the opposite (CO2 reg to Argon bottle) are readily available but I seem to remember a previous comment from Weldequip to the effect that those that you want cost about the same as a regulator with the correct fitting.
Best bet might be to look at Weldequips offerings of CO2 regulators - you may need the one with the hose to connect to the small Clarke gas hose if you havn't already got one.

I bought an Argon mix to CO2 adapter; cost me about $28 shipped. A new reg is not a whole lot more ($39-50)

Then you have the reg sticking way out, more likely to get knocked.
