Argon Refil

Does enyone know where i can get a 10L argon bottle re-filled local to stoke on trent. No rental and its currently empty. Pm me if you can help please, i am desperate but cannot afford the rental from the likes of BOC, Energas etc.

There ia a gas supplier in Kidsgrove, on the A50 in front of the station. Check in there maybe!

I have been in touch with them and their prices seem reasonable. I would rather get my own bottle filled though

but where did you get your bottle from and who owns it. ask them . no one is going to fill someone elses make of bottle up

The problem with filling other companies cylinders is one of safety .
There was a case a while ago when someone took an old cylinder into a company who had a filling plant and gave the young worker so much grief that he agreed to fill the cylinder .
The result was that the cylinder exploded on the filling plant , one person was killed and the other lost his legs .
(This is not an urban myth , I know where this happened )
Thats why we don't fill any other cylinders .

Thats exactly why I am not pushing for anyone to fill my bottle for me, but if you dont ask you don't get. But anyone that says no I can totally respect and understand it.
End of the day my bottle has served its purpose and given me some cheap gas. If its no good to me now ill just chop it up and use it on my next oil burner project or something.
