They look to be Adams Gas agents.

If you look on the Adams site for stockists

and put in a postcode and a product (it doesn't allow welding gas but Welding and industrial gas regulators seems closest) you can find the agent closest to you.

I put in a Middlesborough postcode and there's a place in Spennymoor, 18 miles away.

If an agent is willing to deliver for a reasonable charge it might make a big difference.

Of course, there are agents for other rent-free gas companies and some may be closer to you.

There are a few companies with agents dealing in rent free welding gas but there's a deposit on the bottle; Adams, Hobbyweld, SGS, ALBee. Then there are some with a declining deposit return, eg, within 6 months full return, within 12 months 75% and so on.

Then there are other which are not rental or deposit, but you pay for a right to use the bottle for some period.

Then there's the Volkzone scheme, moderate rental and good refill charges.

Probably most of them could make sense depending on how much gas you expect to use and how close the agents are to you and so on. They've mostly got websites and facilities to find their agents. A lot of them will have been discussed on here.

Just looking quickly and out of curiosity, Hobbyweld or SGS would seem to be better bets for someone living in Middlesbrough.

hobbyweld is what I use. only the 10 ltr ones.
I would like 20 ltrs but paying £195 deposit put me off.
it doesnt make sense to me 10 ltrs £60 deposit?

With Hobbyweld, the 10 litre ones are 137 bar and the 20 litre ones are 300 bar, also the 20 litre ones come with their own regulator.

It has to be more expensive to make and test a 300bar 20L cylinder and regulator than a 137bar 10L cylinder.

The 10 litre cylinders hold 1,370 litres of gas and the 20 litre, 6,000 litres, which is over 4 times as much gas. I think the refills are about £30 and £65, but that probably depends on the agent.

All these welding gas companies have different deals and which you use depends on how comfortable you feel with the deposit amount and the small print on it, how much they charge for a refill, how much gas you use and how far to the nearest agent. You have to work out what best suits you. And of course they fill to different pressures, 137bar, 200bar, 230bar, 300bar, which makes a difference.
