I recently purchased A TIG welder and I am now looking to find a Argon gas supplier in north west London. I'm totally new to this so don't know much about gases or Tig welding.
I purchased the TIG welder to construct a prototype I will be making from mild steel. I purchased a TIG welder because I later intend to Weld stainless steel.
I don't want to pay a monthly fees. I know some people sell reconditioned pub gas bottles and sell them off as argon gas bottles (empty). I also read somewhere that some suppliers are selling cylinders at lower psi then for example BOC cylinders. Obviously that would mean your not getting the same quantity of gas regardless of the cylinder size.
Anyone here know of a gas supplier near me where I can get a good deal?
Also what size cylinder do you recommend, I have no idea how long such cylinders last ie welding hours vs gas volume.
