just a question, Ive had a clarke 150tm for around 6 months now just doing light mot repairs on cars, nothing special just make it safe and make it pass, now I am aware the correct gas type to use is argoshield light or 75/25 argon co2 but as i already have a tig welder and dont do very much mig welding at all ive never bothered getting the argoshield and we have just been using the argon, yea sure the welds are a tad high but you can adapt technique to deal with this and all the welds are strong and penetrate properly ect, does anybody else do this? for exhausts and crap i just cant see the point in spending 100 quid a year on gas rent and 50 on a fill, am i missing something here?
