Its only extortionate when no one will pay £900.--- hell of a lot of money but Harrison stuff never ceases to amaze on the price side, a 3 point one for the 11" just went for £171, a vertical compound slide went for over £300. The lathes only hit a grand.

It seems daft. I recently bought a car part from ebay, that was DOA. By the time I got through to the seller he was out of stock, so had put an extra £100 on the price rather than state he was out of stock.
That steady can't be a typo as it says £750+ in the description - unless they're both typos.

Lathes are industrial things though. As soon as you cross the line between cheap domestic tat and industrial equipment prices become disproportiantly more. I think.

I just bought a Harrison VS330TR, its filthy & a bit cosmetically challenged & a damaged handwheel traverse but im looking at it in a new light!
Good thing is its got a good set of tooling with it. Going to pull the apron off & see if i can fix it. Be a shame to break it up.
How much of this overpriced stuff actually sells?

It seems to be the new thing on eBay.. Plenty of ads for say, a cordless planer at near enough shop price, then the same one for nigh on a grand... Probably trying to catch the lazy punter clicking through and not looking at the price when buying.

So is mine but no way am I paying £900. lol I will build my own now I have a plasma.
