Are these castle / dragging tips?

I bought a bumper bunch of consumables from China but can't try them yet, cos I'm not supposed to know that I'm getting a cut50 for xmas

I think that the set already contains a bunch of castle / dragging tips - can someone confirm, please?

One day I forgot to put the fat ceramic thing on mine.
And hey I can see what I am doing. I have not used one since. What is the point of them?
They look like they will work being slightly dragged.
With mine I drag it anyway, drag? well barely in contact, I kind of float it along the surface but with no pressure.
I tried the little stand off springs and gave up with them immediately.
I can reccomend making a plasma cutting box. it saves destroying your workbench; which you will do. it saves loads of mess as it catches all the sparks and dust well most of it. Filled with water it does keep the dust and smoke down but need to be deeper than mine.

And the tray looks a good idea - seen them in a couple of vids. I'm guessing they don't need to be made out of girder-thickness steel as the water / send will bear most of the brunt?

The bits that get the chop are the ribs, I used 30x5mm and they are well chewed up after a few years.
I reckon they look like they are meant for dragging. I do it with mine with no problems and they are flat topped.

I've got a cut 50 drag tip plasma; the tips have a flat flat top, those tips might possibly be better for dragging-dunno.

That would have been an unacceptable risk - luckily, her ipad was on the couch and I caught sight of the "...will be delivered between 18th and 20th december" email

To me they look like an effort towards castle tips but one little snot and the passages are blocked up.
These are our castle/drag tips; Hypertherm. Maybe a couple of mm wide x just slightly less on the depth.

cheers for that skotl, i have enough to be going along with but will be ordering more, enjoy your cutter when it arrives mate, they are a very handy tool to have.

They are the tips I use on mine.

Yes they work when dragging whilst in contact.

chunkolini how do you assemble it without the fat ceramic thing?

On mine it screws on & holds it all together.

I dropped it and broke one, then tried it without and left it off.
I think they screw onto the outside of the torch body, on mine I screw the electrode into the torch body then screw the nozzles over that and as far as I can think that is it, the ceramic bit just seems to have no real function at all.
if I remember I will have a look tomorrow.
I even have a photo of it, the fat pink thing (fnaarr fnaaaar) just screws onto the torch body. Does it hold it together?
Much easier to use without it and no sign of any damage.
The other photo shows how I broke the switch and made it safer.
The paddle switch caught on my overall and set it off, I jumped and snapped the paddle off by accident. Now it has a tiny switch that cant be set off by accident.
Thet big paddle thing is a real health hazard in my book.

I know that on my cut 40 the white end does hold it all together, The internal nozzle opens a ball valve inside the torch head, then there is an insulator then there is the tip.

Without the white shroud it would not work, no gas to blow through, and the rest of the bits would fall on the floor!

Ditto with Adrian. Got an original Cut 40 and the outer white shroud holds the whole affair together.
