Archdale radial drill

We are very busy & the radial has thrown a wobble, is there anyone who has done work in the drive unit or a firm that repairs them, we just don't have time to start another project & it is cheaper to look big & pay for repair.

Archdale made many types. More info needed and whats the problem.

Quill dropped out or was wound down till it disengaged raise\lower mechanism, was wound up but now only moves about 100mm
It is a RD13469

Return spring sound unwound then jammed up

Had a good look to day The tarmac people got the quantity's wrong by 2 tonne so had some spare time, I also thought there was a clock spring but this one has a ***great weight on a shaft connected by a small cycle chain the BGW had seized on the shaft in the up position allowing the chain to fold over in the innards & lock the mechanism, a tap with a 4pounder freed it chain straitened out & all is well with the world got the instruction book from Lathes UK had a read should have noticed the problem without book
