Believe me, I’ve seen guys who weld all day long with nothing but a pair of knock off Raybans on. It was normal practice in the Philippines. Our whole steel framed sheet metal roof was done that way. They have the amps so high they use the same rod and settings for both cutting the angle bar, and welding it.
